Last month, Vertical Aviation International (VAI) and the Vertical Flight Society (VFS) SoCal Chapter were proud to co-host the Advancing Rotorcraft Firefighting: Operational Lessons and Innovation Summit at Robinson Helicopter Company.
The summit brought together leaders from both operational and technical communities for a day of critical discussion around recent fire events in the Los Angeles area, particularly the devastating wildfires that continue to challenge first responders. Attendees engaged in dynamic sessions focused on innovation, technology development, and STEM initiatives shaping the future of aerial firefighting.
Event highlights included an insightful pilot Q&A, expert presentation on next-generation firefighting tools and technologies, and an exciting fly-in demonstration by Coulson Aviation.
